Hidden on one of the most westerly points in Ireland, right on the Atlantic Ocean, the links at Carne was the last course designed by the late Eddie Hackett, who commented of Carne "if ever the Lord intended land for a golf course, Carne has it".
The natural shape of the terrain, with its large dunes, was kept intact by Hackett, resulting in a demanding yet truly 'natural' course.
This course affords spectacular views of Blacksod Bay and the Atlantic Coastline. Although established in 1925, this superb course has been virtually kept secret until recent years.
