Following years in the wilderness, Montado has increased in popularity thanks to considerable investment and design changes that have dramatically improved the course.
It has a flat, natural setting and smallish greens that are protected by some cunningly placed bunkers.
What really makes the course interesting is that most holes can be played in more than way - will you go for the risky option or play it safe? Not one of our favourites, but it's friendly, quiet and very affordable.
