Montecastillo is the best course in this region with a pedigree second to none.
Montecastillo is designed on rolling terrain – although it is never significantly hilly except for the dramatic 18th hole which requires a tee shot from the top of a cliff playing down a steep drop to a fairway next to the Hotel and short of the big lake which protects the green.
The finishing stretch are the best on the course and 16-18 all necessitate a strong nerve to avoid the ever threatening water around the green and on the second shots.
