Torrey Pines consists of two picturesque 18-hole golf courses, the North Course and the South Course, set on the cliffs of La Jolla, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Recently renovated, the Torrey Pines South Course boasts dramatic coastline views as well as some of the most challenging golf in the country. In 2001, renowned golf course designer Rees Jones set his signature upon the course and the accolades on his work have not stopped since. Torrey Pines North Course, schedule for renovation in 2005, is one of the most scenic golf courses on the California coastline. Several holes on the North Course are situated high atop the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean yet less expensive than Torrey Pines South Course. Many golfers think the North course boasts better views but it is fact that the North Course will not be as challenging as Torrey Pine's South Course.
