CELTIC MANOR

Long before the new Resort Hotel was built, the historic 19th century Manor House was recognised to be one of the finest hotels in the United Kingdom.
Present owner Sir Terence Matthews acquired The Manor House in 1980, after it had been used for more than 30 years as a maternity hospital, the Lydia Beynon, where he himself was born.

He refurbished the property and opened it as a hotel. The Celtic Manor, as it was then named, was an instant success, winning the Egon Ronay award for the best hotel in Wales for five consecutive years.
The character of this lovely property has been retained and it now provides a total of 70 traditionally styled bedrooms which have recently been refurbished, including three with four-poster beds. In addition, The Manor House is home to The Patio restaurant, the Cellar Bar, Residents’ Lounge, Manor Bar, Hedleys, and The Manor Suite, and is a popular venue for weddings with its romantic country house ambience.

The Manor House is set in glorious landscaped gardens, with its own parking and direct access to The Resort Hotel.

Guests at The Manor House also enjoy complimentary telephone calls to national landlines and complimentary dial up internet access. Use of The Forum Health Club leisure facilities is available for an additional charge of £15 per couple and £5 for children per stay.

Located on the first, second and third floors of The Manor House, standard rooms comprise of twin, queen or king bedded rooms
Manor House Four-Poster Room
These rooms boast a queen-size wooden four-poster bed. Each room displays the romantic charm of The Manor House with Georgian lead windows and traditional décor. These are ideal rooms to celebrate a special night away
Manor House Junior Suite
The spacious junior suite bedroom has a king bed and adjoins a separate lounge area.
Manor House Family Rooms
We have a number of rooms available in The Manor House that interconnect, to accommodate families. Children are welcome in The Manor House and The Patio restaurant provides a special menu for children.
