Opened in 1988 the club was given a PGA European Tour seal of approval when the second edition of the Open de Tenerife was played there. Argentina’s Vicente Fernández was victorious in 1990. In southern Tenerife the 18 holes of Amarilla Golf & country club run alongside the sea and are bordered by cliffs.
