There is little to parallel the Konopiště Golf Resort in the Czech Republic. Not only is it within easy reach of Prague, but it also boasts two par-72 championship course, as well as a nine-hole academy course, making it the perfect golfing option for a trip to the Prague area.
Radecky Course The Radecky Course at Konopiště is a brute from the back tees; carved through some impressive woodland, the course can be stretched to 7,090 yards at its peak. Named after the original occupiers of the estate, the Radecky was constructed in consultation with the European PGA, and is a cracking test for even the low handicappers. d'Este Course The resort’s second course is named the d’Este Course, and although it is also a par-72, its length of 6,695 yards makes that target seem a great deal more manageable. D’Este is not without is challenges however; the fairways are hemmed tightly at times by the estate’s impressive woodland, so playing conservatively for position is often prudent. Public Course Konopiště’s academy layout is called the Public Course, and is perfect for learners or those in need of some short game practice. The courses at Konopiště are maintained to a great standard, which is why so many take the time to venture out of Prague for some Czech Republic golf. Konopiště has a driving range with grass teeing areas, and a dedicated short game practice area. |
