The Penina Golf Course is a fairly flat parkland type course with almost four hundred thousand trees, plenty of water, many bunkers, with wide greens and a vast tee area, making Penina a real championship golf course.
A major revitalisation programme in 2004/2005 refreshed the Penina Golf Course to stay on the highest level of quality.
Penina Championship is characterised by an unusual grouping of par-5′s, with four of them arranged together in pairs at the beginning and end of the back nine.
Of all the Penina’s par-3, the most memorable is the 13th – voted one of the best 500 holes in the world! The hole presents its own, particular challenge. A lake borders the right-hand side, coming into play off the back tees, while the sloping green is guarded to the front and left by a pair of bunkers.
