Situated amidst lush gardens the Cascades Hotel is the grand old lady of Sun City and still retains her timeless elegance. Understandably the Cascades Hotel is a firm favourite among visitors who know Sun City well.
The Cascades Hotel offers a world of fantasy with its theme of cascading water, tropical lagoons and giant boulders creating a paradise for pink flamingos and swans. Tumbling waters and luxurious gardens, all a short walk from the glittering entertainment centre.
The Cascades Hotel, the Grotto Restaurant and the pool area recently underwent an extensive R60-million refurbishment project, transforming the 1980’s themed pool area into a tropical paradise. Sun City has transformed the Cascades Pool and Grotto Restaurant into an area reminiscent of the azure blue of the tranquil Mediterranean and the original garden area has been transformed into a lake with cascading waterfalls.
The refurbishment project also extended to the guest rooms. In total, 239 rooms were refurbished. In the standard and family rooms, the entire bathroom was reconstructed and enlarged. Amenities now include a separate large shower cubicle which provides an intimate and private experience and a separate bath that is the ideal place to unwind. The bathrooms have double vanity units and are somewhat larger than standard hotel bathrooms.
All rooms include the following facilities for comfort and luxury:
TV, radio, air-conditioning, telephone and minibar. Luxury rooms and suites have spa baths. Suites have private patios, sitting rooms and bar areas.
Dine in style with the excellent restaurants and elegant bars at the Cascades Hotel at Sun City. Two superb restaurants are The Peninsula which serves and international dinner menu and has a resident pianist. This restaurant serves a full continental buffet for breakfast. Lighter food is served at the Fishmonger Restaurant.
