Golf Girona is an excellent par-72 championship course, designed by the legendary English golf architect, F.W. Hawtree. The designer was charged with creating a course that adapted harmoniously with natural environment and is a very environmentally conscious project, even utilising a sprinkler system that pumps regenerated water from the purification plant.
The front nine is extremely challenging, forcing the visiting golfer to use every club in the bag, where creativity and guile are certainly more valuable assets than brute power. The closing stretch sees spectacular views from the elevated tees, and is more forgiving than the exacting front half, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the surroundings.
