Benalup Golf & Country Club neighbours the Fairplay Hotel, and is a stunning golf course with views over the La Janda Valley and the expanses of the Los Alcornocales natural park.
The layout was conceived by Baron Paul Rolin, who was formerly a design partner of famed architect Robert Trent Jones Senior. The testing par-73 course is interspersed with no less than seven lakes, and is relatively flat. However, the higher points allow for amazing views over the valley, not least from the 10th tee on Benalup’s signature hole. The gentle undulations of the fairways are bordered banks of trees, which, apart from making a beautiful backdrop, will punish wayward golfers.
The 6,641 yard layout will be a thoroughly enjoyable test for every visitor, and with views as far as Africa’s Northern coastline, Benalup is a truly memorable golfing destination.
