The Albatross Golf Resort is a relatively new layout, having been opened in 2009. The Albatross sprawls over eighty hectares of mildly hilly terrain. The course and the clubhouse are of the highest standard and will meet the requirements of golfers of all abilities.
Measuring in at 7240 yards the Albatross is quite a slog from the tips. The gently undulating fairways are marshaled by tall pines and younger trees that will remained staked until they mature. The imposing water hazards are lined by rust coloured stones, which create a striking visual effect. The course is perfectly maintained and will no doubt be in immaculate condition when you come to play. Accuracy is as always a premium around this lovely track, as the rough can be very penal. The splendid clubhouse hosts a renowned restaurant with a considerable terrace overlooking a large putting green and the whole course. Golfers can also enjoy the impressive facilities at the club including the David Carter Golf Academy, driving range and an impressive pro shop. |
