Bordering the Atlantic Ocean, the cliff top Amarilla Golf and Country Club affords you amazing views of Mount Teide. The landscape is home to a host of indigenous Canarian flora and fauna, and also an excellent Donald Steel designed golf course.
Steel has created a fantastic variety of holes between the cliff edge and the ravines that are formed by Tenerife's spectacular geological history. The most amazing holes are those around the higher points, particularly the 5th, where visiting golfers will have to pluck up some serious courage to drive the ball over the sea towards the fairway. Amarilla is not the longest, but its spectacular location makes it a favourite of regular visitors to the Tenerife, and is well worth a game during your next golfing holiday to the sun-kissed island. |
